UK VDP Cohort Study [DHSRU website]: In Scotland, a mandatory formal system of assessment is part of the dental vocational training year. This study is evaluating the effects of this assessment on the acquisition of competence and standards during training by comparison with training in other areas of the U.K. where formal assessment is not employed.
